Luigi Traldi Head Of Southern Europe, Klarna

Luigi Traldi is a business leader and fintech executive currently serving as Head of Southern Europe at Klarna, where he has worked for nearly five years. Based in Milan, he oversees Klarna's growth and strategic operations across the Southern European region, including Italy, Greece, and Portugal. Luigi joined Klarna in September 2021 as Head of Partner Success Italy, was promoted to Country Manager for Italy and Greece in late 2022, and assumed his current regional leadership role in July 2023. Under his tenure, Klarna has grown to serve over 9 million Italian users and ranked in the top 3 most downloaded apps in Italy in 2025. He has championed notable partnerships with PagoPA, MSC Cruises, and Atida eFarma, and was present for Klarna's historic IPO on the NYSE. Before entering fintech, Luigi spent over six years at Luxottica, where he held roles spanning global wholesale sales strategy and digital sales development, including a period based in New York. Earlier in his career he worked as a Business Analyst at Barilla Group and as a Junior Consultant at the Development Researchers' Network in Rome. Luigi holds a Master of Science in Management from Università Bocconi and a CEMS Master's degree in Business Administration. He is also a published researcher in the field of corporate social responsibility and shared value, and actively mentors young professionals through Generation Italy and Mentors4u. Earlier in his career he founded and led Students for Humanity, a nonprofit initiative he ran for nearly five years.
