Simone Mancini is the visionary CEO and Co-Founder of Scalapay, a leading European fintech company revolutionizing the Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) industry. Under his leadership since its founding in 2019, Scalapay has grown into a trailblazer in deferred payments, empowering over 10,000 merchants to enhance customer experiences while providing 8 million consumers with greater financial flexibility. Simone has raised over €700m in funding from international investors such as Tencent, Tiger Global and most recently Poste Italiane. Notably, Scalapay became Italy’s first unicorn since the dotcom era, cementing its status as a key player in the European fintech ecosystem. Simone's entrepreneurial journey began in Australia, where he gained extensive experience in the payment and e-commerce sectors. Prior to launching Scalapay, he served as New Ventures Manager at Australian Fintech Prospa and Online Services Marketplace Airtasker. These roles honed his expertise in creating customer-centric solutions that address critical market challenges like conversion rates and operational inefficiencies. Simone holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics and is also an active angel investor in the fintech space, contributing to the growth of emerging startups. Based in Milan, he continues to champion technological advancements that redefine the future of payments.
