Elena Dominique Midolo received her PhD in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research from the Catholic University of Milan, where she still conducts teaching activities for the Faculty of Humanities. ?She has conducted international research internationally, particularly in Great Britain, where she attended the Centre for Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College in London, deepening her study of the sociology of culture, cultural processes and phenomena.? He has been researching media consumption in cross-cultural contexts, focusing on paradigms of music production and fruition in multiethnic backgrounds. He has written two monographs, ''Flow of Sounds. Musica e Diaspora: il rap islamico in Gran Bretagna''; and ''Sound Matters: orizzonti sonori della cultura contemporanea''.?Her passion for research pushed her to explore the universe of new media, and, after meeting Clio Zammatteo, she dedicated herself, since 2008, to the coordination, online and offline, of the strategic and commercial action of ClioMakeUp, a leading direct-to-consumer company in the beauty sector in Italy, for which she now serves as CEO.?In 2020 she was counted among the Notable Alumni of the Universitá Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
