As a typical engineer, I’m a person who dreams of concrete projects. I try to give a useful interpretation of the world around me through facts and figures. This enables me to handle complex situations and translate them into comprehensible terms within the reach of “everybody”. Professional and human experience has brought me up against the education divide the world is experiencing: the level of training of the individual seems to be inversely proportional to the amount of information available. Disconcerting! This observation has been transformed into the stimulus to found OfCourseMe (now Edflex Italy). I am eclectic and curious, and above all I like to get involved in intriguing conversations… especially if accompanied by a good Italian wine. For me, this means having adequate tools for an impassioned exchange. Is learning the keystone? Perhaps not, at least not the only one, but it can certainly facilitate all of us in facing the complexities of the world with a greater critical outlook and awareness, to counter the ignorance and arrogance which together make up a diabolical pair. I am a husband and a father of two avid learners. I play the bass guitar and sing in a band that lives on nostalgia for progressive rock. I am a mountaineer and in my life I try to put into practice some advice of my father’s: “The mountains teach you to be humble and their silence allows you to reflect”.
